A new, simplified USTA Junior Tournaments structure took effect in January 2021! After extensive research, including feedback from our players, the USTA developed these standardized systems to provide greater consistency and more opportunities for our players, parents, coaches, tournament directors and officials.
USTA North Carolina, a not-for-profit organization, is the state affiliate of the United States Tennis Association in North Carolina. Formerly known as the North Carolina Tennis Association (NCTA), USTA North Carolina was founded in 1973 and since that time has focused on its singular mission: to promote and develop the game of tennis in North Carolina.

USTA Junior Tournaments are offered in a variety of formats, including individual, team, non-elimination and elimination. There are also competitions for wheelchair players. This wide range allows you to compete in a way that makes you feel comfortable, suits your level of play and helps you experience success.
For 2020 only, USTA North Carolina will offer 10U Green Level 1 divisions (and 10U standings) for players that are active within the Youth Tennis Progression (YTP). USTA North Carolina points tables will continue to be utilized throughout 2020. 2020 Tournaments NC L1 (Advanced) to NC L5 (Intermediate) are intended for players that have an intermediate skill level attained through prior level-based play.
